Delivery fails while backup running

Hello, collegues. I'm trying to solve delivery problem. When my backup running dovecot and dspam trying to connect to mysql, but connection rejected or freeze and sender recive local failure or timeout error. So, I want to find way to save messages in my queue or on sender's mail server queue. I think, I can send some code to sender's MX or use proxy. But I can not create workable configuration.

smtpd_client_restrictions = defer
but instead of shutting down mysql server while backup I would do mysqldump or create master-slave replication
