Please forgive me for asking this easy question, I read official docs which are quite confused,

There are so may terms like virtual users/ virtula domains/ virtual delivery agent /local agent,

Can Someone explain it for me in a straightfoward way?

Thanks a lot.

Hello,
long story: many years ago adding email was similar to adding user to the system. and accepting emails was for local host domain.
virtual domain is the domain not in mydestinations list
virtual user is a user not present in system
local agent serves mail for mydestination +systemuser
virtual agent server virtual domains. I hope it is clear

Yea, I read a book named postfix, which is old but some basic concepts are quite useful for beginners.

Your explanation is quite great.

Thanks a lot and have a good day( or maybe night). :)
